A YOUNG woman has described the terrifying moment she had her bag stolen while walking home after a night out.
Bethany Hanton, 18, had her bag stolen as she walked along Main Road, in Dovercourt with a friend on Monday morning.
Two men approached the pair from behind at about 1.30am before snatching the bag and running off.
Admin assistant, Bethany, of Kingfisher Drive, Dovercourt, said: “We left the Stingray about 1am, but couldn’t get a taxi as it was really busy because of the bank holiday.
“We decided to walk home. I am only 18, but I thought I would be safe and there were a few people around.”
The men got away with her house keys, purse, driving licence bank cards and £30.
“Because the lights were off, I didn’t get to see anything,” she said.
“I want them to be found.”
