AN innovative music project for unemployed youngsters will culminate in a rock concert in memory of an inspirational Harwich teenager.
We are Music, formerly known as Harwich Rock School, offered young people out of work and over the age of 19 a chance to organise and run a live gig.
Many were friends of guitarist Lewis Biddlecombe, who died suddenly last October aged just 19.
They decided they wanted to pay tribute to him.
He was a member of the music school and had been in remission from brain cancer.
The concert, which has been eight weeks in the making, will raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
It will be held tomorrow at Kingsway Hall, in Dovercourt.
Chris Scott, of We Are Music, said: “Lewis was a young local musician who had a great influence on many around him, and we were delighted when the group decided to stage this event in tribute to him.”
Doors open for the gig at 7pm, with tickets costing £5, available on the night.
