Olympic makeover for Wix Equestrian Centre
A POPULAR indoor horse riding facility has been given a huge makeover by Olympic-standard experts.
Brand new wax fibre flooring has been installed at both indoor riding facilities at the Wix Equestrian Centre and is the same as what was used for the London 2012 Games at Greenwich Park.
The previous flooring had been down in one enclosure since the centre opened in 1987 and in the secondary venue for more than 20 years.
In total the cost of the project has risen to almost £60,000 but manager Jenny Hall said she was delighted with the final results.
