FLUFFY yellow ducklings have hatched in a high school classroom.

Manningtree High School is home to five little ducklings which hatched in a science classroom.

As part of science week Miss Burgess had a kit where the ducks were incubated until they hatched.

Students came to check on the eggs every break and lunchtime to see their development.

A spokesman for the school said: “The students absolutely loved watching the eggs hatch.

“During lessons they had loads of questions and it made the students desperate to get to their science lessons.

“The whole experience gave the school a real buzz and got everyone talking and excited about science and ducks.”

Year Seven pupil Lily Ratcliffe said: “It has been really nice to have them in school and we have enjoyed watching them grow, they are really cute and soft.”
