POLICE are investigating a van found on fire in the early hours of the morning.
Officers were called to reports of a van alight in Vansittart Street, Harwich, at about 3.30am on Monday morning.
An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Firefighters from Dovercourt were called to reports of a vehicle fire at 3am.
"On arrival, crews reported that a van was completely alight.
"Firefighters worked hard to extinguish the fire completely by 3.26am.
"The van has been badly damaged."
An Essex Police spokesman said inquiries are ongoing into the cause of the blaze.
