A NEW travel team will be helping residents at Manningtree railway station this month.

Greater Anglia's new travel team is spending July at Manningtree.

The new team will be talking to passengers about all aspects of their journey, from how they find out journey information, how they book tickets and which trains they travel on and then advising on changes that could save customers time or money.

Travel Team manager, Jackie Rathbone, said: “We’re actively showing customers the different ticket buying choices they have, getting them on their way more quickly and making their journey better.

“It’s all part of continually improving the service we offer to passengers.”

The team can even advise passengers on which services to take where more seats might be available, to ensure a comfortable journey, or what the quietest times of day are to come to the ticket office to buy a ticket ahead of time or renew a season ticket.

The team of eight will travel to various stations across the Greater Anglia network this summer and will also be on hand when new ticket machines are installed, to help show passengers how to use them.
