REGULARS at a library's weekly coffee mornings were treated to an unexpected surprise to celebrate the festive season.

Manningtree Library hosts a coffee morning every Wednesday but at its most recent gathering, in addition to the usual biscuits and refreshments, attendees were offered other treats.

Librarygoers were treated to stollen and mince pies whilst being entertained with Christmas carols sung by Grace Notes, a popular community choir in Mistley.

Susie Hyman, musical director and founder of the choir, said: “Essex County Council launches survey on vaping education.

“A wide range of ages was present, including some very young children, and everyone seemed to really enjoy listening or singing along with us.

“We hope they all had as much fun as we did, and it helped to get them into the Christmas spirit.

“Perhaps some of them may even be encouraged to become members of our choir.”

Manningtree Library is encouraging residents to come along to its coffee mornings every Wednesday for some nice refreshments and to make new friends.

Additionally, Grace Notes is always looking for new members, for more information and to get involved with the choir call Susie on 07598 389 677 or email susiehyman123@gmail.com.
