A DOVERCOURT school put on a brilliant production full of talented acting.
Pupils at Spring Meadow Primary School, in Pound Farm Drive, put on a performance of a popular Roald Dahl book.
Children worked hard to perform their own production of the musical Matilda Jr.
It follows the story of a five-year-old girl who loves books, hates bullies, and is revealed to have telekinetic powers which she uses to help defeat the tyrannical headmistress of her unpleasant school.
Councillors who enjoyed the performance include Ivan and Jo Henderson and deputy mayor Pam Morrison.
Danielle Cooper, a teacher at the school, said: "We had sell out shows both nights and the children also performed on Thursday during the day to our own KS2 pupils."
