Youngsters who grew an oak tree from an acorn and donated it to a nature reserve have been thanked.
The Harwich Society, which owns and runs Bobbits Hole Nature Reserve in Dovercourt, appealed for the anonymous donators of an oak tree to come forward after it was planted by the sea scouts last month.
The children’s grandparents spotted the appeal in the Standard and contacted the nature reserve volunteers.
On Sunday Rosie and Liam Mortimer, aged six and four, visited the reserve for a special thank you for their generosity.
