LANDLORDS and restaurant owners are calling time on unruly customers.
The Mistley, Brantham and Manningtree Pubwatch group formed in July. Pubwatch is a national scheme which aims for a safer drinking environment in all licensed premises.
Julie Bain, license holder at The Crown Hotel, Manningtree, praised the scheme and said it would tackle drug taking and violent customers in the area.
She said: “The scheme is an absolute godsend.
“We realised there is a definite drug and violence problem in Manningtree.
“Over the years it has grown so we decided to get together and hopefully we can stamp the problem out.
“We want people to know if they cause a problem then they are barred from all places in the scheme.”
