Recycling lids available in Manningtree

LIDS for recycling boxes can now be picked up from a community centre in Manningtree.
A total of 10,000 new lids were bought after a backlash at Tendring Council’s new recycling scheme introduced in April.
New red recycling boxes were given out to residents for cardboard and paper collection but they did not have lids.
Residents complained and claimed the oversight would mean paper being blown out of the box and across the streets or getting soggy from rain.
The boxes can now be picked up between 10am and 12pm from Foundry Court in Colchester Road, Manningtree, on Fridays.
They are also available in Dovercourt's Park Pavilion in Barrack Lane, between 8am and 5pm.
