A FRESH campaign to dual the A120 throughout north Essex claims it could cut some journey times in half.
A business case is being drawn up to try and convince the Highways Agency to prioritise upgrading the road which business leaders claim is holding back the county.
The Haven Gateway Partnership claims some journey times could be cut by up to 56 per cent if the A120 is upgraded and fully duelled between Stansted and Harwich.
The campaign has won the support of dozens of businesses and organisations, including Wilkin & Sons, Flakt Woods, Essex University, Braintree Freeport and Harwich Dock Company.
Yesterday, Witham MP Priti Patel voiced her backing after meeting partnership chairman George Kieffer.
