MEDIA students were given a taste of life in the music industry when they made a video for an Essex band.
Sixth-formers from the Harwich and Dovercourt High School were given F.O.X’s new album Hypoxia Part 1 before Christmas and asked to make videos for one of the tracks.
The band returned to the school for students to pitch their ideas.
The six-week process saw them create, film and edit their videos. F.O.X perform at Colchester Arts Centre on April 4 and will project one of the videos on to a screen at the show.
School head of media Philippa Parks was delighted with the pupils’ efforts.
“Some of them said they really dreaded pitching their work to the band, due to nerves and not wanting to do public speaking, however after the pitches and presentations, the students were really pleased they had done it and conquered their fears,” she said. “
