A MEMORIAL for war heroes has been given a facelift.
The stone showing the names of people who served in both World Wars at Ramsey War Memorial Hall has been cleaned, re-painted and restored with lime mortar.
Hall vice chairman David Smith was delighted with the work that has been done.
“The stone has been looking worse for wear for some time but now it looks great,” he said.
“We wanted it done before our Remembrance Day service as it is the focal point.
“We are grateful to the War Memorials Trust which gave us a grant towards the work.”
