A WOMAN says her family has been left to live out of boxes after repairs to her house were delayed.
Kerryn Brunsden lives in Foster Road, Parkeston, with her partner Craig and their two sons, one who is autistic and one who is asthmatic. She reported a leak to Colne Housing in February, following more than a month of issues with the boiler in the house.
But she said they took apart the bathroom to try to find it, and when they failed to fix it afterwards, Ms Brunsden called Colne Housing and also notified them of other issues, including the back door coming away from the wall, the kitchen ceiling bulging and plaster falling off, as well as cracks appearing in the front room ceiling and by a window.
The 33-year-old said: “We have had so many deadlines saying when work will be finished by, but they have only done two things."
Colne chief executive Mark Powell Davies said: “We are working hard to rectify the situation as quickly and smoothly as possible.”
