COMMUNITIES in Tendring are keeping up the pressure for significant improvements to safety on the A120.

Tendring councillors joined up with representatives of a number of parish councils to meet with Harwich and North Essex MP Bernard Jenkin.

They asked him to push for information from the roads minister on the issue - and ask for proposed temporary speed cameras to be made permanent.

The group of councillors were concerned about the lack of delivery of the speed cameras to date.

They were assured that the cameras were to be put in during the summer but have yet to appear.
