CELEBRITIES will investigate the paranormal at Harwich’s Redoubt Fort live on air tomorrow night.

TV presenter Rylan Clark-Neal will host the new programme, Celebrity Ghost Hunt Live, with famous contestants including Love Island’s Chris Hughes, Celebrity Big Brother winner Stephen Bear, Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby, Ex on the Beach star Charlotte Dawson and Ampika Pickston, from Real Housewives of Cheshire.

During the 90-minute live show, being broadcast on 5STAR at 9pm on Wednesday, the celebrities will hold a séance and use a ouija board.

One of Britain’s leading psychics, Ian Lawman, will try to pass on messages from the spirit the world while the stars of the show will be trained in ghost-hunting by paranormal investigators Paul Hobday and Chris Howley.

Among the ghostly gadgets the professionals will have on hand will include a ghost audio recorder that is said to allow ghosts to communicate with the living and ghost-tracker glasses to allow the viewers to see what the celebrities are focusing on.

Parapsychologist, Dr Ciaran O’Keeffe will be helping Rylan analyse the tracking data throughout the night.

The 200-year-old Napoleonic fort in Main Road was chosen by producers for being one of the most “significant paranormal locations in the country”.

A press statement on the show said: “Will our celebrities contact the headless soldier who is often seen roaming the fort.

“Will they find any proof of a 13-year-old pregnant girl who haunts the moat after dying there? Will any of our celebrities dare to spend time alone in the condemned cells, where disembodied moaning shadowy figures have been reported?”
