POLICE are appealing for CCTV and dash cam footage following a gun incident in Clacton.

A fast-food delivery driver was allegedly shot at through a car window in Beach Road after about 8.30pm on November 15.

Elton Dsain, 24, unemployed, of Agincourt Road, Hampstead Heath, London, was charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent and appeared before Colchester Magistrates' Court on November 17.

He remains in custody ahead of an appearance at Chelmsford Crown Court on December 15.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We are renewing an appeal for the public’s help as part of an ongoing investigation into reports that a man was allegedly shot at in Clacton.

"Detectives are investigating after receiving the report on Wednesday, November 15.

"So far there have been five arrests in connection with the investigation.

"A man has also been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent and remanded in custody to appear in court in December.

"We are specifically asking for any members of the public who have personal CCTV or dash cam footage, from in and around Beach Road, Rosemary Road, Station Road, Colne Road, Orwell Road, Pallister Road and Carnarvon Road, to come forward."

Two men aged 27 and 28, both from London, who were arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of possession of firearms offences, were released on bail until December, 7 pending further enquiries. 

A 23-year-old man from Clacton and a 26-year-old woman from Great Bentley, who were arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of firearms offences, were also released on bail until December, 7.
