A FORT and mini-state seven miles off Harwich has played its first ever offical international football match.
Sealand is a wartime fort that declared independence as a principality more than 40 years ago.
On Saturday May 5 its football team played a match against the Chagos Islands.
Around 250 people turned up to see the teams fight it out on the pitch in Godalming, Surrey.
It was 2-0 to the Chagos Islands and despite a second half goal the final score was 3-1.
