Thrillseekers can take on an epic 5k inflatables race to help support a children’s welfare charity.

The NSPCC’s Essex branch has partnered with the Inflatable Company to bring two huge races to Chelmsford City Racecourse next month.

Cash raised from the events on Saturday, June 16, and Sunday, June 17, will go directly towards helping the charity continue their vital work supporting vulnerable children and young adults.

The Great Leighs track will host the 5km long course, which features a range of different obstacles including giant slides, bouncy mountains and slippery tunnels.

Individuals are welcome to sign up for the race, however the course is perfect to take on as a teambuilding exercise.

The NSPCC is hoping to recruit businesses from the area to sign up for the fundraiser and also participate in a new business support group.

Janis Osborne, treasurer of the new support group, said: “The NSPCC business group is a great way to bring like-minded businesses together, with a focus on raising funds and awareness for the NSPCC.

“The group also provides a business purpose, not only in fulfilling a corporate social responsibility in an engaging and rewarding way, but in providing networking opportunities for the businesses involved.”

Anyone who signs up for the race will receive a personalised vest, a fundraising pack and support and a training plan.

Participants should raise a minimum of £100, and must pay a registration fee.
