HARWICH and Dovercourt Rugby Club skipper Joe Francis insists his team are far better than their lowly league position suggests.
And he says he and his players are looking forward to proving it during 2014.
Harwich are third from bottom in Eastern Counties League division one but have a chance to start the new year with a flourish, in tomorrow’s fixture at Southwold.
Francis is ready for the challenge and said: “This weekend will be a tough test, but we have a point to prove and need to let our rugby do the talking.
“Hopefully we can start the new year with a bang.
“This season is a big one for our club.
“It was always going to be a tough one and we knew we were going to be up against it.
“But we’re in a strong position, with much to look forward to."
