Shrimpers prepare for crucial fixtures

HARWICH and Parkeston are gearing up for a run of fixtures that could have a major say in their title ambitions.

That’s the view of Shrimpers chairman Tony Armstrong, looking ahead to a pivotal March.

Harwich’s run of key games kicks-off with tomorrow’s home match against Holland FC.

They then go to Alresford Colne Rangers and title rivals Tollesbury, before finishing the month with home contests against White Notley and Earls Colne.

Holland were the first side to halt Harwich’s 100 per cent winning start in the Kent Blaxill Essex and Suffolk Border League premier division, holding them to a 2-2 draw on October 12.

Alresford were the first side to beat them at Royal Oak, winning 1-0 in November, while Tollesbury are now joint-top of the table, behind Matt Carmichael’s side.

“We’ve got three really hard games coming up and it’s going to be a very important month,” said long-serving Armstrong.
