THE annual past captains' competition took place at Harwich and Dovercourt Golf Club.
Fourteen past captains teed off on a blustery but dry afternoon, for a competition introduced by John Stace in 2013.
Due to the conditions, scoring was going to be difficult and so it proved, with the winning score being Neil Blackburn's 35 points.
In second was Ron Taylor, with 34 points.
Nearest the pin was Gus Hales.
After the golf, a further three past captains joined the golfers for a lovely two-course meal and refreshments.
At the prizegiving, Blackburn thanked organiser Chris Day.
