HOLLAND FC A 3
LITTLE OAKLEY A 4
Essex and Suffolk Border
League division one
OAKLEY secured a hard-fought victory and, ultimately, the more skilful and determined side came away with the points.
At half-time, the Acorns were 3-1 up, courtesy of two goals from man-of-the-match Tyler Sullivan and one from Isaac Aldridge.
Holland started strongly in the second half and reduced the deficit with an early goal.
However, their hard work was undone by a rash tackle in the box, as one of their defenders brought down Sullivan.
Aldridge confidently stroked the ball past the keeper for his second goal.
Holland scored from a free-kick and started to look for an equaliser but, again, indiscipline was their downfall and the referee issued a straight red card.
