LITTLE Oakley joint-manager Paul Sadler says his players will have to be at their best if they want to make progress in this season’s Essex Premier Cup.

The Acorns are preparing to welcome Kelvedon Hatch to the Memorial Ground for a third-round contest tomorrow afternoon (kick-off 1.30pm).

The tie had been due to take place last weekend but had to be postponed due to a water-logged pitch.

It has now been rescheduled for tomorrow and Sadler said: “We were disappointed last week’s fixture was called off at the last minute.

“Having won our previous five games, it would have been nice to keep the momentum going.

“Nevertheless, we’ll still go into tomorrow’s match in confident mood, knowing we have to be at our best to compete with one of the stronger sides in Essex at our level.”
