LITTLE Oakley’s first team are gearing up for a crucial few days.
The Acorns can guarantee runners-up spot in the Essex and Suffolk Border League premier division – if they can win tomorrow’s match at champions West Bergholt.
They currently sit second, following Wednesday’s 3-0 victory at home to Coggeshall Town.
Oakley will then set their sights on next Wednesday’s Knockout Cup final against Coggeshall, at the Colchester Garrison ground (kick-off 7.30pm).
Oakley ran out worthy winners in midweek.
Trevor Lewis crossed for Rory Harman, who lashed home for 1-0.
The second followed a mazy run from Jamie Dobkin.
He was brought down and Shaun Kioussis converted.
Oakley’s third was an own goal.
