FLY-TIPPING has continued to be an issue in Dovercourt this week after more rubbish was dumped in the town.

A large pile was thrown in Victoria Street, just days after the council finally got permission to clear another “stinking eyesore.”

A Facebook user shared images of rubbish, she said: “To the thoughtful person that just dumped his rubbish out of the back of his van, can you kindly come and pick it back up.”

Another added: “Disgusting. Absolutely no respect.”

It comes after Ivan Henderson, councillor for Harwich and Kingsway Ward, confirmed another pile of rubbish by Dovercourt train station is to be cleared.

He said: “It’s simply not good enough. Not only are residents having to put up with it but visitors to the town as well.

“The whole area around Victoria Street needs improvement. If we don’t deal with situations quicker they will escalate.

“People must report any fly-tipping they see, we need information. It’s not on as we all have to pay with our council tax to clear this up.

“If you can’t get rid of it then come to us and we will try to help you.”
